The purpose of this course
is:
To obtain verifiable, TABC Certification from Alcohol Safety Training
To
make you aware of all Texas laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol
to
minors
and
intoxicated persons
To outline the criminal liabilities these
laws entail
To define and detect intoxication
To
explain how the body reacts to alcohol
To help you detect
minors
To help you detect invalid identification
To
teach you intervention techniques to handle intoxicated persons
and minors
The topics of the course follow the guidelines set out
by the TABC. During the course, a variety of techniques,
including instructor presentation and role playing are used
to make the program informative and interesting. A TABC certification
quiz is given at the end of training. All participants who score
satisfactorily will be eligible for certification, which will be
valid for two years.
